LIA colectivo is a collective made up of two textile artists, mother and daughter.
Cecilia, the mother, studied art at the University of Chile and the daughter Emilia is self-taught in the area of art and has previous studies in literature.
Our work its based on the development of pieces of arts that represent our geografy as a habitated territory, our works are abstracts because they came from our own expirience, the sensation we get when we face the inmensity of the desert, the subtlety of the cold forest, the majestuosity of the Andes, the strenght of the Pacific Ocean, the silence of the highlands.
Trough the using of colors, textures, infinate materials, we create a textil collage that speaks about the variety of human and geografy landscapes; many colors because of the diversity of races, thoughts and cultures; many materials for the diversity of geografy and landscapes.
Each peace belongs to a place of Latin America, shows fragment of our habitar.
