Born in Barcelona in 1973, my interest in art starts from a very young age, always with a pencil in my hand, drawing or creating anything. Art is for me a vital need, like breathing my way of expressing myself-I feel-made myself.
In my adolescence we moved to Figueres, in the Alt Empordà land of surrealism and Dalí, for whom I felt fascination since I discovered his work. Perhaps it is because of the Tramuntana, that I have never stopped creating, drawing, sculpting and painting and, in recent years, painting, they say that those of us who live on this earth are all a little crazy ...
Normally I paint in large format because I think it is the best way for my works to convey all the strength and expressiveness. In my work I always try to capture feelings and experiences through the sinuous and broken line that draws my characters. The Human figure is always present in my work through the body and also the faces I speak that what worries me, of the feelings, the relationships, or lack of them, the oppression of women, the lack of real communication of the world in that we live, dreams, etc.
In my last works I wanted to show the wild part in this case of men, a primitive and visceral side, creating a duality between the modern and the primary. Humanized beasts appear, with the appearance of False wolves or bulls to express that dominant and aggressive part, a reflection of a patriarchy that is still present worldwide and that manifests itself in many ways, some disguised as modernity and others more evident to the eyes of all. It is a need to express outrage and impotence before the acts we see every day and suffer women, at other times, also, I like to show another side of the same coin, powerful and important male figures accompanying, next to the woman , supporting and fighting for a feminine empowerment, that perhaps is far and even utopian but that I believe strongly necessary and shows a desire that I want to transmit with my work.
