Daria Błażek born in Leszno, Poland in 1983 - a painter, a sound maker who works in many different fields in art and not only. Her works represent the abstract world of the reality of now that she experienced intensively through traditional mediums in painting, digital, installation and sound. Her works of painting and drawings often differ and contrast with each other somehow synchronizing if we will take a longer glimpse on all her various work including sound the world that she walks with is simply the analogy of abstract of now and the whole that the modern world is throwing on us. If it goes about the painting whether by brush or digital tools the colour and its energy of free gestures take the first place in her expressions on canvas, paper and in print. Her work is so diverse and as simple as complex to be digested by the viewer from the all over painting to more liberate gestures on canvas almost like poems written with colours are telling their stories. Her works on paper that she somehow became more intimate with and more free to express does really differ from the digital world of her own showcasing many of the worlds of mind and psychoanalyzes that she lead/invite the viewer into.
The body of the work that I am showing represents the digitalisation of the reality of now that we do walk with on a daily basis. I create the experience of the analogy of abstract of now and the already very abstract reality that we are part of. In my work, the energy of the colour and how I digest and intensively experience these worlds of the real and virtual are strongly expressed in the free gestures with photoshop tools. The use of the digital brush instead of the traditional medium reflects the most the power of the fastness and the ongoing progress of the technology of now and the world around. I wouldn't be able to afford it with the real medium or even get close to the gestures it does allow you to do transforming many images into one. As well as the image the sound is one of the most influential factors for my digital creations and the imaginary world and feelings it brings to me so that I can flow freely into my digital expression of the virtual of now and the future. Since some years of digital painting that are a part of my almost everyday existence I really love the idea of sharing the art through a different kind of product so that the print can become a pillow, a sheet, curtain or apparel I really love the playful way of using the digital painting as printmaking in various ways and expression and connection of art in between the world of fashion and design it gives a really huge dose of creativity feeding each other on and on. The artwork somehow becomes a double kind of product on display more shareable one which I always find as a positive aspect of the Digital Era Of Now. In my body of work based on the digital print, I wanted to connect all of the fields together and play with them inside of the room creating my own inner imaginary of the virtual, digitalisation and the now actually contrasting with each other.
