Biography

Aldo Salucci, born in Rome, lives and works in Milan.
After his studies in Pharmaceutics he starts his artistic activity. The first pictorial experiments soon give place to an exclusive interest for the photography. The seabeds represent his first photographic subject. The following subject entitled Dystopia, still in progress, concentrates in the relationship between the beauty and the human actions, often destructive for the planet. Famous monuments submerged by water, creating apocalyptic visions but not without the hope of a renascence.
His curriculum consists up to now in five personal exhibitions in private galleries and institutional spaces. In 2019 he will participate in The London ArtRooms Fair, The Affordable Fair in Milan and the MIA Photo Fair in Milan

Project

Photographic ChromaLuxe prints in 9 copies that could be of different dimensions.

Associating photographs and postproduction, Aldo Salucci’s latest work entitled “Dystopia" presents famous monuments submerged by water in a complete absence of humans. Symbolically, the flood depicted represents an alarm regarding the environmental catastrophe; the rise of the waters’ level, the destruction by the man of the beauty that he has created. A post apocalyptic vision that at the same time is soothing and let show the possibility of a renascence. For the occasion of the Roman edition of ArtRooms Fair 2019, the artist will present among others a series of Roman monuments with showstopper a visual of Colosseum made especially for the ArtRooms Fairs.
